One cannot even photograph in those conditions. When we went to Aliso trail with Jan Timbrook, I saw no buckwheat; not like on Figueroa Mtn - but maybe we did not go far enough. Aliso seemed to be very dry this year. I was hoping to go out this weekend for more fall colors, but I did not think I wanted to deal with high winds. One cannot even photograph in those conditions.
