Mount Diablo - Proteus Magazine

September 10th, 2008

I have had many requests to use my photos on CalPhotos (and a few from Flickr) for various environmental bodies, institutions, etc - and in almost all cases, have allowed them to be used for free. On a couple of occasions, I was offered a fee, and did not refuse. Sometimes, I have been sent copies of publications in which the photos were printed.

One of the more recent photo usages was by the Slovenian natural history magazine PROTEUS for an article about Mount Diablo by Jurij Kurillo; a copy of that issue is being mailed to me. The photo below was used.

I hope to get out one of these days to photograph fall colors - this is just an interim post to keep this blog somewhat alive, while other tasks keep me busy.

Lynn, that’s a beautiful Fairy Lantern blossom. That is so cool to get your photos published, too. I’m glad to see you have posted again. It’s really difficult to keep a blog going all the time when so many other responsibilities take priority. I look forward to your future posts and finding out where you’ve been this summer.

Thanks, Mary. I have not done much this summer - mostly things around the home. Maybe, if one of them works out, I’ll do a post about it.
