This is a combination post consisting of three items concerned with writings about birding.

a) I was lucky to win a competition that Mon@rch ran for the book below, for which I was really grateful. I have started reading it, and so far it is proving to be very well written.

b) I would also like to recommend a great new blog, “Well Regarded Birds” – by Jamie Chavez. I am envious of the three column layout he found – it is very nice, and made even better by the interesting contents – see link below: (a link can also be found on the “Links” page of this blog)

c) I have a few “Africa Bird and Birding” magazine issues I would like to clear from my bookshelves. If anyone is interested in them or a couple duplicate flora books, please see link below:

    Funny how the leads story is Much Maligned Starlings on a site called Well Regarded birds.
